PREgnancy Essentials for pilates instructors

Feel Prepared When A Pregnant Client Walks Into Class

Evidence based pregnancy education for Pilates instructors who want to confidently adapt Mat and Reformer classes without relying on outdated rules or fear based modifications.

Meet Caitlin & Kelci

Pregnancy Essentials is created and presented by Caitlin Pender and Kelci Wilson, founders of Her Women’s Health, experienced women’s health physiotherapists, Pilates instructors and mums.

As pelvic health physios, we understand how overwhelming and confusing prenatal exercise advice can be. The information out there is often contradictory, outdated or fear based, leaving both clients and instructors unsure of what is truly safe, beneficial and appropriate during pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

After supporting countless women through pregnancy, birth preparation, postnatal recovery and return to movement, we created Pregnancy Essentials to help cut through the noise.

Together with Move Pilates Academy, we have created a practical, evidence based course to help instructors support pregnant clients with more confidence in group Mat and Reformer Pilates classes.

Caitlin and Kelci

Pregnant clients deserve better than mixed messages.

For too long, pregnancy exercise education has been shaped by fear based rules, outdated advice and blanket statements like “avoid all core work” or “don’t lie on your back.”

But supporting pregnant clients well is not about memorising a list of things they cannot do.

It is about understanding the current evidence, knowing how to modify with purpose, and supporting the individual in front of you with confidence, care and critical thinking.
